 Ian Fairbrother-Director of Coaching       Phone 248-789-0738      IAN @B-UFC.org         Ian played professional soccer for sixteen years. He played for Manchester United & Blackburn Rovers youth teams and the England Junior National team at various youth levels, the highlight of which he describes as "scoring a penalty, for England against Holland, in front of 100,000 people at Wembley Stadium, London at the age of 15. He signed his first professional contract with Liverpool F.C. of the English Premier League at the ripe old age of sixteen and play for them for 4 years.

Ian came to the U.S. played for Fort Lauderdale & Miami of NASL.  Then signed with the Wichita Wings of the M.I.S.L., and went to played indoor for the next ten years. This period included stints with the Detroit Rockers, Detroit Neon, and the Detroit Safari.  After suffering ligament damage while playing in a Safari game at the Palace, Ian was asked to become Interim Head Coach for the remainder of that season. He says he enjoys coaching youth soccer players as much as he enjoyed playing in the pros. Ian has a U.S.S.F. "A" Coaching License

Andy has been playing professional soccer for twenty-three years, having started his career with Arsenal of the English Premier League at ripe old age of 17. His jersey is on display in the Soccer Hall of Fame, in New York State. He originally came to the United States to play for the California Sunshine, before moving on to play for the Detroit Express of ASL in the early 1980's for 5 years. Andy met his wife, Patti, while playing for the Express.

After leaving the Express, Andy played for Wichita, Baltimore, and Cleveland in the M.I.S.L. for 12 seasons, before become player coach for 4 years for the Detroit Rockers of the NPSL. Then move on for 3 years as a player/coach for the Detroit Neon, and Safari of the CISL. Andy has coached youth soccer since 1978. Andy has thought long and hard before attaching his name and reputation to a youth soccer club, but has been inspirational and instrumental in creating the positive environment that United F.C. players and parents currently enjoy. Andy has a U.S.S.F. "B" Coaching License

Colin has played semi-professional soccer in his native country of England, and has over 35 years extensive coaching experience with youth, high school, college, and adult levels here in United States, U.K. , and Spain.

He holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Coaching from Liverpool John Moores University, in which he specialized in the Child Psychology of Sport. He does a great job of helping the kids get to the next level, in a positive and fun atmosphere, stressing the need to develop both the individual and the team, without losing ones love of the game itself. Colin has a U.S.S.F. "C" Coaching License.
